Welcome to Animial Medical Associaltes in Saco, Maine. A full service veterinary hospital.

Our reception area provides plenty of space for clients who are just arriving with their pets, as well as those looking to head back home.

Our staff works hard to provide the best, most expedient care for your pet.

Our beautiful, large bright waiting room allows animals waiting for their appointments to spread out and be comfortable, significantly reducing the amount of stress associated with a visit to the veterinarian. The summertime scenery and gardens makes the environment even more relaxing for their owners!

We even have a large built in fish tank in our waiting area.

Animal Medical Associates does carry a full line of prescription products as well as other supplies which may be recommended for your pet.

Duke, our hospital macaw, was one of the first animals helped by our 'Angel Fund'. A neglected animal seized from a pet store, he has come to live with us at Animal Medical Associates and help greet all of our clients in the waiting room!

Franklin is our hospital red eared slider. He has a large swimming area in our waiting room, and entertains plenty of small children, as well as their dogs!

You never quite know what you will see in our waiting room. Currently, we have several degus living here, while they wait for their forever homes (they are up for adoption through the Animal Welfare Society). There will probably be something new to see each time you visit!

Our cat themed exam room is also the largest exam room we have, with a large, bright window making it a comfortable, home like environment for nervous pets. Cats love to sit on the large windowsills and watch the outdoors!

Our smallest exam room is our exotic themed room. This petite but cozy room allows our often tiny patients to explore without being overwhelmed with too much space. There are no windows to startle birds, and we have 'critter proofed' the area so even ferrets and chinchillas can safely explore while waiting for their appointments.

We have an exam room which has a dog theme to it, and have had several dogs be fascinated by the artwork on the walls!

This picture, as well as the next, shows our treatment area. Most of our treatments are done here, including minor procedures such as drawing blood, trimming toenails, and cleaning wounds.

This is our laboratory, where we are able to perform many of the common diagnostic tests needed to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Our expansive surgery suite contains some of the most advanced anesthetic monitoring equipment available in the state of Maine. From the smallest lizard to the largest dog, we are comfortable treating them all!

This is our dentistry suite, which is where all of our dental procedures are performed. Having a dedicated dental area assures that each patient will be receiving complete, individualized attention during their dental work. One staff member is assigned to be with that patient from the start to the very end of their procedure - making for continuous care throughout the day.
